Traditional debt providers have been slow to respond to the market’s need for capital, and in many situations have been actively working to lower the amount of leverage available. Investors are faced with an increased need for equity in order to restructure the debt of maturing notes. Further, due to decreased leverage, investors need access to additional equity in order to complete partial or all cash transactions.
