Eric Rosen serves as the Head of Investor Services for Cohen Financial, a division of SunTrust Banks, Inc. Cohen Financial is recognized as one of the nation’s premier third-party loan administration firms, which includes a rated loan servicing and special servicing platform responsible for overseeing a multi-billion dollar portfolio on behalf of over 25 institutional investors. Cohen Financial maintains an “Above Average” Primary Servicer and Special Servicer rating with S&P and is part of their Select Servicer group.
Prior to his current role, Rosen had been administering the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program at SunTrust Community Capital since 2002. His team generated direct and fund equity investments and debt financing in community development projects throughout the nation. The group primarily focuses on the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Historic Tax Credit (HTC), Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) and NMTC programs. Rosen had been directly involved in the application, award and deployment of SunTrust’s aggregate $578 million in NMTC allocations, as well as SunTrust’s investments into awarded Community Development Entities.
Rosen has been with SunTrust since 1999, and before joining SunTrust Community Capital he gained experience in commercial banking. He currently serves on the Executive Committees for both the New Markets Tax Credit Coalition and the Partnership for Job Creation. Rosen previously served as a gubernatorial appointee to Georgia’s Race to the Top Innovation Fund Advisory Board, a member of the Nickajack Elementary School Council, a Director for the Atlanta Community ToolBank, and a gubernatorial appointee to the Georgia Charter Schools Commission.
Rosen received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University in 1998.
